EcoWrap 100 is at the forefront of sustainable composite technology. It utilises a two-component epoxy "bio" resin system that, once mixed, has a plant-based chemical content of ~27%.
The performance of our EcoWrap 100 composite system is not at all compromised. It uses the same chemicals as "normal" epoxy resins, except the chemicals are derived from plant-based sources rather than petrochemical sources.
EcoWrap 100 combines our high performance bio-resin with a glass fibre quad axial fabric. This consists of four layers positioned in four different orientations, 0°/90°/+45°/-45°. This ensures that no matter the geometry of the pipework our the fibres in our EcoWrap 100 composite system are closely aligned to the hoop direction for maximum pressure retention.
Sustainable Composite Technology: Our EcoWrap 100 resin derives a key component of epoxy resins, Epichlorohydrin, from renewable plant-based Glycerol, rather than petroleum based Propylene.
~27% plant-based resin system: Once the two-component epoxy resin is mixed the overall plant-based content is ~27%, amongst the highest in the industry.
Uncompromising performance: The performance of EcoWrap 100 is uncompromised, it simply has the same chemicals derived from plant-based sources rather than petroleum souces.
Qualified to Industry Standards: EcoWrap 100 is currently being rigorously tested and found to both ISO 24817 & ASME PCC-2.
Leak and Non-Leaking Defects: EcoWrap 100 has been tested and found suitable for repairing both leaking and non-leaking defects.
