BioWrap 102

Sustainable Composite Pipe Repair Technology: Lowering Environmental Impact without Compromising Performance

EcoWrap 102, an environmentally friendly composite wrap pipe repair system, applied to a pipe

BioWrap 102: Pushing Pipe Repairs to a greener future

BioWrap 102 is at the forefront of sustainable composite technology. It utilises a two-component epoxy "bio" resin system that, once mixed, has a plant-based chemical content of ~27%.

The performance of our BioWrap 102 composite system is not at all compromised. It uses the same chemicals as "normal" epoxy resins, except the chemicals are derived from plant-based sources rather than petrochemical sources.

BioWrap 102 combines our high performance bio-resin with a glass fibre quad axial fabric. This consists of four layers positioned in four different orientations, 0°/90°/+45°/-45°. This ensures that no matter the geometry of the pipework the fibres in our BioWrap 102 composite system are closely aligned to the hoop direction for maximum pressure retention.
